First Kisses and Locked Doors!

What a day!! Fortunately Carrie was in her pack 'n play when Drew followed me into our garage and locked the door behind him! I just ran into the garage to get one thing...AGH! I grabbed my coat out of my car and thankfully I own 20 million shoes and had at least one pair in the garage! I was so upset as I ran to my neighbor's home to get the key to my house...they were not home!!! Off to my other neighbor's house to use her phone to call Dan. He was still 45 minutes or more away. Long story short...I watched and yelled to Carrie (while I froze) from my front door windows as she screamed, cried, played, tried to climb out (and was almost successful), and chewed on the playpen. I'm just SO GLAD she was in there and not loose! I would have had to break a window then. Our neighbors got home before the locksmith came! Hallelujah... but what a nightmare!!!

At dinner, Carrie gave each of us REAL kisses on the cheek! Our very first kisses from our sweet girl! She's feeling SO much better now and I only had to change 3 yucky diapers today... which are seriously becoming more like normal yucky diapers than sick ones!!! She's gone from picky to piggy with the food and she will motion with her hand for more, which looks more like "Gimme, gimme". Too cute!! We have decided to keep her ;) OH... and she loves shoes!!! My kinda girl!!!

Laura-

Here's another perspective to help you count your blessings:

When I saw the police car in your driveway, I was afraid it was for something worse than getting locked out. Thank God it wasn't something more serious! I do completely relate to your horror of Carrie being alone in there; I would have been upset, too! Thankfully you were able to see her the whole time.

Glad she's feeling much better.

Melissa
PS- Give me another key ASAP!! :-)

You must have been beside yourself!!! What a crazy couple weeks you've had..the 3 P's and being locked out. :) Even thoughs rough times have brought out something WONDERFUL that 1st kiss!! How amazing that must have been. I am still so happy for your family. Have a great time with your kiddos.
God Bless,
Kelly

BTW: Your starting to make me look bad. After all you've been through you are still finding time to blog. :)

Woah! What a test! And I thought the adoption was the end-all!

I am sooooo glad things turned out well for you! Hide a key in your garage or outside, girl!
