Christmas Scrapbook

Well folks... you haven't heard from us for awhile because life has been busy with the usual pre-Christmas nuttiness and still adjusting to life with 2! I got to do some gift-wrapping at the local mall as a fundraiser for Drew's school! It was fun to get out those two nights...then it was off to Grandma & Grandpa's house and other family visits! Home Christmas eve to finish up some gift prep and off to BED!!! I knew I didn't feel quite right, but by 2 am it was a done deal... I was SICK!! Not quite the Christmas I pictured, but we managed! I never got to make the birthday cake for Jesus, so we're hoping to do that today!

Praying that you had a wonderful Christmas and were able to spend more time than we got to reflecting on the love of Jesus and the miracle of His coming and the eternal life He freely gives!!! Thank you, Jesus and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Lucky for You I Can't Post Pictures!

I don't know why... but I have tried frequently to post some pictures on this blog and it just does not work!! It's frustrating, but for today I think you'll all be glad! Carrie made her first poop in the potty tonight and I did take a picture of it! After all I've been through with that nasty rotavirus and still a lot of acclimating to new foods... I am rejoicing over our first success on the potty!!!! I just might have been tempted to post the picture (haha)!

Carrie is doing really well and we're just enjoying watching more of her personality and skills emerging daily! What a sweetie!! She is ravenous though...she wakes up like, "Give me my milk and make it snappy!" I am not the morning person and I get pretty annoyed with her morning demands, but we're both working on it.

Drew knocks her over every chance he gets and is pretty much exhausting what little voice I have right now. I adore that boy more than I can express, but man is he ticking me off lately! Just a lot of adjustments, as you can imagine! It's hard to be prince of the house for so many years and have it all get rocked over night. He got his Polar Express trains set up under the tree last night and is so thrilled! I WILL find a way to get some pictures posted soon!!!

First Kisses and Locked Doors!

What a day!! Fortunately Carrie was in her pack 'n play when Drew followed me into our garage and locked the door behind him! I just ran into the garage to get one thing...AGH! I grabbed my coat out of my car and thankfully I own 20 million shoes and had at least one pair in the garage! I was so upset as I ran to my neighbor's home to get the key to my house...they were not home!!! Off to my other neighbor's house to use her phone to call Dan. He was still 45 minutes or more away. Long story short...I watched and yelled to Carrie (while I froze) from my front door windows as she screamed, cried, played, tried to climb out (and was almost successful), and chewed on the playpen. I'm just SO GLAD she was in there and not loose! I would have had to break a window then. Our neighbors got home before the locksmith came! Hallelujah... but what a nightmare!!!

At dinner, Carrie gave each of us REAL kisses on the cheek! Our very first kisses from our sweet girl! She's feeling SO much better now and I only had to change 3 yucky diapers today... which are seriously becoming more like normal yucky diapers than sick ones!!! She's gone from picky to piggy with the food and she will motion with her hand for more, which looks more like "Gimme, gimme". Too cute!! We have decided to keep her ;) OH... and she loves shoes!!! My kinda girl!!!
