I'm SO sorry that I've gotten so far behind on the blog! I have so many things to write about... Father's Day, our new patio (the picture is what my sweet hubby scratched into the pathway leading to the patio. I was so surprised...and the whole "Drew Carey" thing really bothers me, so sadly I wasn't very kind in my reaction.......but I love it, Honey. Thank you!) and the fact that we recently learned we are STILL in PGN, no kick outs so far! This is week 6 in what is supposed to be an 8 or 9 week process. UNLESS we get kicked out for something. Then we have to fix it and re-enter starting the whole wait all over again!!!
With that note, here are our prayer requests:
1) For a supernaturally early OUT from PGN, like this very week!
2) For Carrie's PINK slip to be issued sometime in early August and an August embassy date! That will mean the adoption is finalized and Carrie can come home!!
3) For someone to be available to bring Carrie home to us forever when the process is done; we hope we don't have to wait longer than that!
4) For our hearts and the hearts of our many friends also waiting for their children... that we would continue to wait patiently on the Lord for His perfect timing and continue to petition Him with our specific requests and delight in Him no matter how He answers!!!
5) For Carrie and all of her Guatemalan friends waiting to reach their forever homes!! Keep them safe, Lord, and comfort them!!
Thanks, friends! Your prayer support makes ALL the difference during this time of waiting and expectation! Enjoy the beautiful July weather!!

Laura-
We're praying for Carrie and all of you. We hope she's home soon!! I'm praying for you to get that call ASAP. And can I go get her?!? :-) I wish I could do that for you!
Your daughter isn't yet home and already when I hear "Drew/Carrie" I think of your children, not the comedian. This will be true for anyone who knows your beautiful family!
Your hard work on your home is surely helping to occupy the time before Carrie arrives home... and what a beautiful, productive accomplishment to passing the time!
You'll be holding her in your arms out on your new patio before you know it...
Love, Melissa
