Carrie Talks!!

We got a video today of our agent's last visit with Carrie (same visit as pictures posted below taken May 18). We weren't expecting it, so it was a great surprise! In the video, she did attempt to squeak out one smile :)

Oh, and she said "Ma"!!! Her foster mother said that she says, "Mama", "Papa" and "Nene". It was so exciting to hear her voice! I wonder what else she'll be saying soon.
We have no other real news.... but I'm dying for someone to translate this video for me! My niece's fiance was so good to translate a short clip that had been emailed to me; considering they're getting married in a week I don't think I should bug him with this. There's a Spanish school down the street from us; I may stop in there and see if someone can help me. I will let you know what else I learn!

My Hotline to God!!

That is how I feel right about now as this as at least the THIRD time that I have posted something on this blog about a deep concern or need that we had in this adoption process.........and it got answered that very MOMENT or a few hours later!!! Is this blog my special hotline to God? IF that is so :), just let me be sure to tell you this then, Lord:

I LOVE YOU! I cannot believe how you have blessed me & my family; our cup truly runs over. Thank you for your amazing gifts, thank you for the children you've entrusted to us! I'm so sorry that I don't always do the things that would bring joy to your heart.... and I'm in disbelief at times that you would care to love me when I can be such a wretch! Knowing how I continue to adore my son even when he drives me to wit's end... I begin to understand! You thrill me, you amaze me! And at the end of the day... if all I have and know were gone... there would STILL be YOU. And You are more than enough!!!



Yes, Folks.... we are IN PGN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you, Lord!!!!!!!

Not Where We Would Hope To Be!

Good morning! Well, last night before the lightning storms hit, I quickly checked email... there was news, but it was definitely not what we expected or hoped to hear! Basically, we have not left Family Court yet. This process hasn't seemed to take very long for most families, so I have NO understanding as to why we're still there. We do know that the interview with Carrie's birthmother HAS taken place, and that is a very good thing. But we need to get out of that court and move onto the next level, PGN.
Milestones this week:
Carrie turned 8 mos. old on 5/30
Dan and I were married SIXTEEN years yesterday
Drew has his HALF birthday today... Happy 5.5, Buddy!

Prayer Requests for June:
1. That we get out of Family Court SOON! Like, TODAY!
2. That we are quickly entered into PGN and have a smooth course there.
3. That Carrie is happy, healthy and safe. That she continues to grow and develop well in all areas, and that part of her knows she is not HOME yet!
4. That we continue to seek the Lord in this process and rely on His strength rather than our own. That we never forget His perfect timing is SO FAR better than ours and that He is in control of the situation!!
